This revelation nonsense indicates that god does use earthquakes. I thought you said that god has nothing to do with earthquakes.

Once again, you (and Pat Robertson), are approaching the events described in Revelation, from the erroneous perspective that God will "cause" the irrevocable events described there. I contend that it is the nonsense of mankind, which will have caused the described events. Essentially, unsaved mankind will have become caught and devoured by his own destructive actions.

The guy behind the grassy knoll is to blame, right?

LOL, you have as much credibilty as Pat Robertson. One story is as wacky as the next.

It seems wacky unless you can think like China. China, and others, have been accusing the US of using their HAARP as a weapon of mass destruction. ELF leaves an unmistakable cloud "color spectrum" signature; which was caught on video, immediately prior to the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.

The earthquake caused over 85,000 deaths in China, and is today considered by China, to be an act of American warfare. If China was aware of ELF technology in 2008, then it's believable that they could have built a fully functional HAARP of their own, by 2011. Or worse, China has used their own HAARP on Sichuan, and is deliberately ginning-up anti-American sentiment with it's usage.....

Clouds over Sichuan 30 minutes before the earthquake....

Clouds over Sichuan 10 minutes before the earthquake.....

Such foolishness!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

    These are your questions:

    Questions one would ask...

    Quote
"Why are they playing with the numbers?"
    "Why manipulate the 'news'?"
"What is the reason for the bias on this subject?"

Do you have any answers? It was my mistake thinking that scientists were involved.

So whoever "they" are. why are "they" doing it?

This post was really just a conversational piece.  I found it interesting that they would actually skew the information given.

Of course we will never know because only the author will know.

However, as a conversational piece, I think you had a point in the Godaphobia moment.  I read the article and saw that it did mention "the end of the world" in which one would naturally think that he was speaking about his view of "God" and what he thinks the end times would be in that context.

My only natural (and totally an opinion) view would be that he had something of a Godaphobia problem and didn't want anything to even remotely validate the Bible.

It is either that or perhaps he had nothing to do that day and was just fulfilling a requirement to fill space as per job requirement and didn't want to put any effort on actually crunching numbers because he wanted a coffee break or something.

Those are the only two I could come up with... I favor the first one though.

    LOL, Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

So I have godaphobia for attributing disasters on god, and the author has godaphobia for trying not to attribute disasters on god.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Welcome to the wacky world of fundamentalism!!! You guys have certainly entertained me the last few days.

Boy,  you really do have a problem today Steve.

First you acted like I had said that God was doing it - which I didn't
Then you said that scientist had skewed the figures - which it didn't
And now you are saying that the author is "has Godaphobia for trying 'not to attribute the disasters on God' ".  Is there something going on in your life today?

Usually you don't do those things.

The wiki article provides some accurate information, however, it categorizes HAARP's ability to trigger earthquakes under "conspiracy theories". Notice , there is no clear DENIAL of HAARP's ability to trigger earthquakes. It is simply categorized under "conspiracy theory", without any further context. So if someone should mention the capability of HAARP as a weapon, he/she is pre-concluded as being on the "kook-fringe". IOW, it's a weapon of mass destruction, hiding in plain sight.

LOL, you win the earthquake debate. I was outsmarted at every turn and my biases were clearly revealed, I thought I'd skip all the pleasantries and get to the inevitable biblical connection to earthquakes. Who knew that you really only wanted to talk about earthquakes.

No Palm, you're not on the "kook fringe". After all, clouds over a disaster area always indicate WMDs. It's very strange when clouds, which are collections of moisture in the air, refract sunlight similar to how sunlight is refracted by the moisture in the air in the form of rainbows after rainstorms. The former always indicates human evil & WMDS, that latter always indicates pretty things like god and love.

And scientists refusing to acknowledge stupid conspiracy theories always indicates that the conspiracy theories are true.

And never mind the fact that you are in need of a man made disaster to get your god off the hook for a dispicable act, as described in the Bible, against mankind.

    You are the kook fringe.

    Hi Palm,

    Another earthquake in China:
    http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-general/20100414/AS.China.Earthquake/

    What's the score now:

    US - 3
    China - 0

China better hurry up and build there own top secret HAARM earthquake machine, if we're going to make that May 21, 2011 deadline.

There's the rub, you could be somewhat right, and very very wrong. I could claim victory in that! Cool

I am happy with somewhat right...  "somewhat right" - has a very big potential of making your very very wrong.   Roll Eyes
