I think it was a mandatory soul wellness break.

And it happened at the worst time.  I underwent a colonoscopy on Tuesday, which consumed two days of my life.  I don't think I will ever do that again.

Usually the test takes about 45 minutes.  You must have an extraordinary colon.

LOL, I was referring to the dumb prep work the day before that involves sitting on the can for hours, not to mention a sleepless night punctuated with frequent bouts to the toilet, the problem of not eating for 36 hours, sitting in the waiting room, the sedation, and the feeling like crap afterward.

I don't remember not eating for 36 hrs, more like 24. I do remember having to drink about 100 gallons of some liquid the night before. I don't remember frequent trips to the bathroom, hours on the toilet, sitting in a waiting room, or a restless night. The sedation was great. I woke up well rested after a great sleep. I remember telling my wife that I didn't understand why everybody complains about colonoscopies. She gave me a dirty look because her experiences were more like yours until she switched to my doctor.

They say that a colonoscope is a sophisticated fiberoptic instrument with an a__hole at either end.
