    You know, I've never understood why people who say what you quoted above actually think that saying this will convince anyone of their argument. It's rather ridiculous.

    We've heard the same sort of nonsensical rhetoric here in regards to other forms of bigotry.  OTOH, nice to know that we all agree that racism sucks.

    Well, if he had any black friends before, he likely doesn't have anymore now.  He had no business using race as a factor in his job, no government official has any business doing so.  "I'm not a racist, I'm just basing decisions on race," um, hello?!?!  That's the definition of a racist, moron!
